Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Consultant to join our team. As a Pharmacist Consultant, you will be responsible for evaluating the drug regimens of patients in long-term care facilities to ensure that they are receiving the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate the drug regimens of patients in long-term care facilities to ensure that they are receiving the best possible care.
- Monitor the compliance of facilities with federal and state guidelines and regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy and facilities to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Provide education and training to nurses and other healthcare professionals on medication management and pharmacy regulations.
- Attend meetings and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
- Pharmacist license in good standing.
- 2+ years of experience in long-term care pharmacy or a related field.
- Advanced computer skills and experience with pharmacy operations systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
