Job Summary

Mozaic Senior Life seeks a dedicated and compassionate Senior Caregiver to provide high-quality daily nursing care to our residents in a Long Term Care environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and upholding our organization's core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide basic nursing care and assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
  2. Observe residents for any changes in their condition and report changes promptly to the charge nurse.
  3. Document care and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Follow standard precautions while delivering care and maintain a clean and organized resident area.
  5. Participate in the care plan process and follow the resident's individual plan of care.
  6. Respond to resident needs promptly and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues.
  7. Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relationships.
  8. Follow facility policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  9. Participate in educational and in-service meetings to update knowledge of techniques, guidelines, and regulations.
  10. Successfully complete Clinical Competencies for Certified Nursing Assistants.
  11. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months - 1 year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care environment preferred
  • Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile residents
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively; Ability to utilize various software packages to carry out position responsibilities
