Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at LMH Health. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with a psychiatrist to provide patient screening, assessment, and diagnosis; formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, provide patient education, prepare medical records, and refer patients for higher levels of care as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Develop patient/family-centered relationships and assist with decision-making based on assessment of patient medical histories, symptoms, examinations, diagnosis, conditions, and patient/family preference.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate concisely and continuously among clinical teams, including physicians, both verbally and in documentation, focusing on patients' identified problems and needs by implementing and monitoring patient care plans, as well as recording and communicating patient conditions as appropriate, to optimize their health outcomes.
  • Discharge Planning: Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Competently apply collaborative teamwork and leadership as a member of an inter-professional team to coordinate patient-centered care for quality patient and unit outcomes of care processes by utilizing information, resources, and technology.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license to practice in Kansas.
  • Certification: Board certification.
  • Training: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • Experience: 3-5 years working as a psych Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
