Position: Adjunct Instructor - English (Pool)

Overview
This role entails providing high-quality educational experiences through the use of innovative teaching methodologies.
Responsibilities
75% - Deliver courses in-person as assigned, including evening, off-campus, and online classes as necessary. - (Essential) 14% - Record and communicate grades throughout the term for student assessment and submit final evaluations by the designated deadlines. - (Essential) 6% - Complete mandatory institutional training and submit all required documentation such as attendance records, early alerts, progress reports, and surveys within specified timeframes. Notify the Program Chair or Dean promptly if unable to fulfill teaching obligations. Attend departmental meetings as required. Adhere to all institutional policies and guidelines. Additional duties may be assigned. - (Marginal) 3% - Regularly monitor institutional email and departmental communication channels. Respond to inquiries within 48 hours, excluding weekends. - (Marginal) 2% - Prepare and submit course syllabus or update departmental syllabus at least two weeks prior to the commencement of classes or within seven days of contract execution. - (Marginal)Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (for Learning Support courses only) or a Master's degree (for all non-Learning Support courses) in English or a related discipline, with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate-level credit hours in English from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching at the collegiate level.
Availability to teach in-person, during daytime hours, and/or at various locations associated with the institution.
Skills and Competencies
Familiarity with diverse instructional delivery methods. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation : $600 per credit hour
