Agronomist Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomist Assistant to join our team as a Precision Farming Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating an irrigation system using an iPad or laptop to remotely monitor and control the delivery of nutrients to growing crops on our large vegetable farm.

This is a seasonal position that requires working independently while maintaining close communication with our agronomy team. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to adapt to changing crop conditions and weather patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Operate irrigation equipment remotely using an iPad or laptop
• Monitor crop health and adjust irrigation schedules as needed
• Maintain accurate records of crop yields and irrigation usage
• Collaborate with the agronomy team to develop and implement precision farming strategies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using laptops and iPads for data entry and monitoring
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
