Project Conclusion

  • Accountable for evaluating the achievement of project goals and benefits, including the Critical Success Factors outlined in the Project Charter.
  • Facilitates sessions to gather Lessons Learned and compiles all feedback received.
  • Prioritizes enhancements identified from Lessons Learned and ensures that responsible parties are assigned and informed.
  • Drives the implementation of improvements by following up with responsible parties from the Lessons Learned sessions.
  • Ensures adherence to the proper procedures for project closure.
  • Communicates project closure to all relevant stakeholders.

Benefits Tracking

  • Assists Business Units in establishing necessary benefits monitoring and reporting mechanisms.
  • Actively monitors and assesses Project Benefits, including Critical Success Factors.

Execution, Monitoring, and Control

  • Proactively tracks the overall project timeline and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manages stakeholder relations concerning the project.
  • Proactively addresses risks, issues, and dependencies associated with the project.
  • Manages changes effectively, including adjustments to Time, Cost, and Scope.
  • Implements the Project Communication Plan, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Records project decisions made throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitors project expenditures as required by the Business Unit.
  • Supports the Product Owner in delivering quality outcomes.
  • Reports on project status as defined in the Communication Plan or as required by the Business Unit.

Continuous Enhancement

  • Follows up on improvements identified during Lessons Learned sessions.
  • Researches innovative working methods and recommends enhancements for delivery efficiency.
  • Defines and implements best practices in project management.
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing in project management.
  • Implements and drives project and process improvements.

Initiation and Planning

  • Responsible for comprehensive project planning and the creation of a Project Management Plan, including plans for Scope, Communication, Risk & Issues, Cost, and Stakeholder Management.
  • Defines and agrees upon the high-level scope, milestones, and initial risks early in the project lifecycle.
  • Establishes Project Benefits, Measurements, and Critical Success Factors in the Charter.
  • Defines roles and responsibilities for the project team and stakeholders (RACI) in the Charter.
  • Sets up Project Governance and Systems to effectively manage the project.
  • Creates, implements, and maintains the Project Schedule, obtaining necessary approvals from stakeholders.

Operational Readiness (Pre-Go Live, Go Live, and Post Go Live)

  • Executes and communicates the Deployment Plan, including Pre-Go Live, Go Live, and Post Go Live tasks.
  • Arranges training for production teams to ensure support for the product/project post-launch.
  • Organizes training for operators to facilitate product usage after launch.
  • Engages and communicates with external stakeholders.
  • Ensures resource availability for monitoring and troubleshooting during the go-live phase.

Strategic Roadmapping

  • Collaborates with Business Units to define and prioritize strategic roadmaps.
  • Assists Business Units with roadmap development as needed.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes changes to roadmaps in collaboration with Business Units.
  • Keeps roadmaps updated following changes and communicates as necessary.
  • Ensures alignment of Project Objectives and Critical Success Factors with Business Unit Strategies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Project.
  • Experience in delivering medium to large scale, medium to high complexity projects.
  • Solid understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or IT Delivery Cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of software or IT project management.
  • Exposure to various Project Management Methodologies.

Educational Background:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as BSc, B-Comm, Business Diploma (3 years), or Advanced Management Diploma is preferable.
  • A minimum of 4 years of Project Management experience, or 3 years of Project Management experience combined with 1 year of relevant experience in a software or IT environment.
  • Certification as an Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is required.
