Job Description

Position Summary: Tidal Basin seeks a competent Inspector to facilitate change and help make a lasting difference in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia.

The Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections at residential and commercial properties impacted by the hurricane. This includes confirming trailers are properly installed and assisting in moving in applicants into their temporary housing units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with homeowners to schedule inspections.
  • Perform on-site inspections of sites with travel trailer installations.
  • Assist in document collection and move-in of hurricane survivors to their temporary shelters.
  • Collaborate with install vendors on inspection scheduling issues.
  • Collect, review, and analyze data, and prepare reports.

Requirements:

  • At least five (5) years of experience performing similar inspections.
  • Diligence, thoroughness, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Valid drivers' license with reliable transportation and acceptable driving record.
  • Able to pass a background check.
  • Ability to create reports, schedules, and be proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication skills to successfully collaborate with program staff, homeowners, and other contractors.

Location: On-site in multiple locations in Dixie, Hamilton, Charlotte, Sarasota, Hernando, Lee, Collier, Gainesville, and Jacksonville counties, with significant travel across areas impacted by Hurricane Helene.
