We are seeking a highly experienced Aquatics Specialist to join our team at the Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch. This is a 40-hour per week, exempt position that requires a strong background in aquatics and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a safe and engaging aquatics program for members and participants.
  • Manage the swim lesson program at the branch and Camp Watchaug, ensuring high-quality instruction and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise swim instructors, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Provide lifeguard coverage at the branch and Camp as needed, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Oversight of the Head Coach for the Swim Team, providing guidance and support to ensure team success.
  • Assist with administrative duties for the Swim Team, including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in aquatics, including lifeguarding and swim instruction.
  • Current certifications in lifeguarding, swim instruction, and CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration.
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading others, with a strong focus on customer service and program development.
