Purpose of the Role
The RN/LPN/MA is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to clinic patients, adhering to established standards and practices while maintaining confidentiality. This role involves assisting physicians with clinical procedures, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care for patients. Responsibilities include overall patient care, triage for walk-in and telephonic patients, and administration of immunizations. The RN/LPN/MA will provide direct nursing care based on well-defined nursing diagnoses and will communicate effectively on behalf of patients, coordinating care with the healthcare team. This position requires organizing nursing care responsibilities within a specified timeframe.

Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice as an RN, LPN, or MA in the state of South Dakota.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting as an RN/LPN/MA is required.
- Proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months following formal orientation.
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- Strong social sensitivity and interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with patients and healthcare personnel.
Working Environment
- Position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly).
- Potential exposure to communicable or infectious diseases.
- Compliance with nursing care standards is critical for continued employment.
- Work environment includes protection from weather conditions but may involve temperature changes and exposure to various atmospheric conditions.
