Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Clinical Specialist to join our team at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing advanced clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to optimize patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide medication therapy management and education
  • Conduct medication use evaluations and quality improvement initiatives
  • Precept and mentor pharmacy students and residents
  • Participate in research and quality improvement projects
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program
  • Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency program or equivalent experience
  • Current Texas pharmacist license
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g. pharmacotherapy, pediatrics)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of operational pharmacy practice and research
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
