Job Summary:
The Food Fanatic Chef is a key role in driving sales growth and culinary innovation for US Foods. This position requires a strong culinary background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct culinary demonstrations and training sessions to educate customers on US Foods products and services.
- Identify and capitalize on culinary trends and industry conditions to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies and plans.
- Provide input on product development and menu planning to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Participate in events and trade shows to promote US Foods products and services.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of US Foods products, services, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience, including a comprehensive culinary background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chef certification and membership in local and national culinary organizations.
- Experience in sales or sales support.
- Experience in training and development.
Work Environment:
The Food Fanatic Chef will work in a kitchen environment, either at the Distribution Center or a customer location. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and driving, as well as occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
