Position Overview:


The Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the Controller, plays a pivotal role in the preparation and presentation of precise, timely, and strategically oriented financial reports, planning, and analysis.


Key Responsibilities:
- Manage national accounts collections, addressing chargebacks, non-payments, credits, and other payment-related matters.
- Conduct daily general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for designated functional areas.
- Investigate and resolve inquiries from Business Units for assigned functional areas.
- Maintain routine communication with Supervisors regarding financial closing processes, issues, and deliverables.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for assigned functional areas:
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations.
- Perform reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, account analysis, accrual calculations, and related accounting documents/schedules.

- Handle sales tax reporting, filing, collection, and analysis for PF USA and eCom across all states, preparing and submitting the collected Sales Tax data file to third parties for reporting and filing.

Assist in resolving any raised issues and manually file returns when necessary.
- Prepare journal entries related to assigned responsibilities.
- Facilitate cross-billing with other Company subsidiaries, reconcile intercompany balances, and manage monthly netting settlements between entities.
- Monitor daily bank account activities and assist in forecasting and cash flow reporting. Conduct monthly bank account reconciliations.
- Provide support for external audits as required.
- Assist the CFO/Controller in the preparation of annual Financial Statements.
- Cross-train as a backup for other staff in emergencies.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Business.

Required Competencies:
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Capacity to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role is essential.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a standard office environment, utilizing typical office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

This role is primarily sedentary; however, some filing may be required, necessitating the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as needed.

The standard working hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
