Job Summary

We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Milton, Vermont. The successful candidate will be responsible for marshalling project-specific components for manufacturing assembly areas, receiving, storing, and managing inventory, and handling direct production materials daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out job marshalling activities and ensure materials and parts are properly identified, counted, and placed in designated racks.
  • Lead and promote process improvement efforts across the Stockroom area to nurture a culture of process improvements and Lean activities.
  • Support the assembly team for non-conforming material/designs related changes.
  • Analyze current processes in the stockroom and create more collaborative and efficient processes.
  • Complete quarterly cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support material orders from Husky's global manufacturing business units.
  • Ensure materials and parts are properly identified and stored in a manner consistent with good housekeeping, materials handling, and department inventory practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operating records and files.
  • Produce exception reports that depict potential shortages to the assembly line.
Qualifications
  • Experience in stockroom management is preferred.
  • Experience with computer inventory/material management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate inventory management projects and outline/implement effective solutions.
  • Keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Operate overhead crane, forklift truck, and other lifting devices.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
