About the Role

WJM Professionals LLC is seeking a skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide high-quality mental health services to U.S. Coast Guard members at specified locations.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for providing professional diagnostic assessments, evidence-based therapy, and referrals to specialists as needed.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Conducting thorough biopsychosocial assessments using clinical interview techniques, mental status examinations, and psychometric screening tools.
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing treatment plans for behavioral health conditions, including follow-up care and discharge planning.
  • Providing outpatient care in individual, group, couples, and family modalities, utilizing evidence-based psychotherapy and psychoeducation techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate health records and documenting patient interactions using prescribed templates from the HSWL Service Center.
  • Evaluating fitness for duty and documenting any mental health conditions that may impact a member's ability to perform their job safely and effectively.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare staff and commands to provide consultation services and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Responding to urgent and emergent situations, including crisis intervention and emergency notifications to the Medical Department and Commanding Officer.
  • Submitting mandated reports of abuse or neglect, adhering to social work licensure standards and Coast Guard regulations.
  • Cultivating relationships with mental health resources and social service agencies to provide optimal patient care and coordinating referrals as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work from an ASWB-accredited program.
  • A current unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in one of the 50 United States.
  • A minimum of two years of direct clinical diagnostic experience within the last five years while holding the highest level of licensure in your state as a clinical social worker.
  • A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider by a recognized organization.
  • No adverse action or information on file with the state board or National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
