Custodial Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join our team at Luzerne County, PA. As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Empty trash and recycling cans, and replace liners as needed
• Clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors
• Wash windows and clean glass surfaces
• Strip, wax, and buff floors using a power buffing machine
• Move furniture and equipment as needed
• Shovel snow from sidewalks and steps around county buildings
• Report necessary repairs to the facilities manager

• Ability to learn and understand cleaning procedures and protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
• Valid driver's license
• 2 years of experience in the cleaning and maintenance field
