POSITION OVERVIEW As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for marketing and selling a diverse range of investment products, including but not limited to stocks, bonds, mutual funds, fixed and variable annuities, life insurance, long-term care insurance, unit investment trusts, exchange-traded funds, and real estate investment trusts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying and selling investment solutions tailored to meet client needs and established production targets.
- Conducting regular assessments and reviews of existing client portfolios.
- Completing the GPM Plan for all managed accounts to ensure optimal performance.
- Applying sales training techniques to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Developing and executing a marketing strategy within the assigned market area.
- Participating in office meetings to provide training and support to team members.
- Cross-promoting Farmers and Merchants State Bank products and services.
- Engaging in ongoing education to uphold securities and insurance licenses.
- Successfully completing and passing assessments related to bank policies and regulations relevant to the role.
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of four years of experience in Investment Management and/or sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is required, along with the ability to utilize broker-dealer software tools and online resources for investment analysis.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business literature, professional journals, and investment documentation. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Proficient in presenting information and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.
MATH SKILLS
Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and rates of return; capable of applying basic algebraic concepts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions; adept at interpreting technical instructions in various formats.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Must possess Series 7 and Life & Health Insurance Licenses, along with either Series 63 and 65 or 66. A valid driver's license is also required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands of this role include regular communication, frequent use of hands for tasks, occasional standing and walking, and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Prolonged computer use and significant telephone communication are expected.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Availability to work Monday through Saturday, with flexibility for additional hours as necessary to meet client needs.
