Nurse Educator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Educator to join our team at Bethesda Health. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing educational programs for our staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive orientation program for new employees, focusing on regulatory issues and Bethesda's values and mission.
Conduct general orientation sessions using corporate guidelines, incorporating relevant OSHA and federal and state regulations.
Develop and conduct in-service programs, including mandatory in-services, to educate staff on various topics, such as emergency preparedness, fire safety, and infection control.
Coordinate and monitor orientation activities to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
Provide input into the evaluation of new employees and recommend release from or extension of orientation based on their learning needs.
Assist with mentor programs and promote a culture of staff development by being open and encouraging about the work environment.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education preferred.
Current RN license in Missouri and Illinois.
CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
Certified as a CPR instructor highly desirable.
Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
Educational and supervisory/management experience preferred.
Previous experience in long-term care required.
