The GIANT Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Meat Department Associate to join our team. As a Meat Department Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process meat deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating stock.
  • Weigh, price, and label meat products to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stock and face meat cases, selecting products to meet customer demand.
  • Prepare valued-added products, such as custom cuts and specialty items.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including processing cuts for the service counter and special orders.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
