Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled Physician Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Physician Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care services to our patients.
Job Summary:The Physician Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with our care team to provide comprehensive services to our patients. You will be responsible for conducting face-to-face psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication review services, and consultation with our clinical staff and medical providers.
Responsibilities:- Conduct face-to-face psychiatric evaluations with patients to determine psychiatric diagnosis.
- Provide ongoing medication review services to assess the effects of prescribed medication.
- Consult with our clinical staff and medical providers to review cases and provide recommendations on diagnosis, medications, and treatment considerations.
- Provide phone consultation services to our medical providers to facilitate the prescription of initial medications.
- Document patient interactions, including written notes of psychiatric evaluations, medication reviews, and other client contacts.
- Provide professional supervision to assigned staff and other paraprofessionals.
- Collaborate with administrative personnel, including Medical and Behavioral Directors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, using clear and concise language to explain treatment options and plans.
- MD or DO degree.
- Successful completion of an approved Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) three-year residency training program in Psychiatry.
- Washington State License to practice as a Psychiatrist.
- Three or more years of experience providing psychiatric services.
- Familiarity with Washington mental health law as it pertains to involuntary treatment.
