At Summa Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional cancer care services. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a vital role in our team by performing technical procedures in radiation oncology, including CT simulations and delivering therapeutic radiation as prescribed by a radiation oncologist.

About the Role:

  • This position requires a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program who is certified in radiation therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • The ideal candidate should possess current state licensure for radiation therapy from the Ohio Department of Health and current BLS/CPR certification from The American Heart Association.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT simulations and deliver therapeutic radiation under general supervision by a radiation oncologist, medical physicist, or department manager.
  • Stay up-to-date with knowledge of radiation safety standards and best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of radiation therapy treatment modalities (3D, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, HDR, SRT).
  • Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of proper patient lifting techniques.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to stand, walk, and crouch throughout the day.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.

Compensation:$43.93/hr - $53.15/hr
