Senior Human Factors Engineer

Raytheon Careers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, usability, and maintainability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIL-STD-1472 Human Factors Program tasks and analyses, including management, analysis, evaluation, and verification.
  • Coordinate with customer human factors representatives to ensure design and architecture considerations are allocated to the system and integrated across development teams.
  • Conduct Human Factors planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses.
  • Brief human factors considerations at technical reviews and engineering approval processes.
  • Prepare internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the Human Factors program.
  • Interface with other engineering functions, including Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Hardware Engineering.
  • Manage Human Factors Working Groups between key Raytheon and Customer representatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant Human Systems Integration, Human Factors Engineering, or Safety Engineering experience.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and/or performing Human Engineering Program Plans, Human Engineering Assessments, and/or Analyses.
  • S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DoD Human Factors Programs, including user interface and user experience implementation in an Agile Development environment.
  • Experience interfacing with System Safety Engineering, showcasing execution of tasking involving MIL-STD-882.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Proposals, Engineering Review Boards, and System Safety Working Groups.
  • S. government issued Top Secret SCI Clearance.
