Job Overview

CES Consulting is a leading engineering and construction management firm dedicated to delivering quality, safety, and compliance on infrastructure projects.

We are seeking an experienced Roadway Construction Inspector to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring contractors' compliance with project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee project activities to ensure compliance with state standards and specifications.
  • Interpret site plans and apply knowledge of SHA standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Inspect roadways and bridges using SHA standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Apply engineering principles in the inspection and documentation of construction activities.
  • Aid in the approval of field changes to meet field conditions.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation using eMCMS and software.
Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection.
  • 1+ years' experience in Traffic Signal Device Inspection.
  • Current certifications in Concrete, HMA (Asphalt), Soils & Aggregates, Pavement Markings, Sediment and Erosion Control, and Temporary Traffic Control Manager.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
Benefits

CES Consulting offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
