Job Overview

Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering field is required, with coursework focused on semiconductor physics and electronics. Familiarity with electronic component reliability standards such as JEDEC and AEC-Q100 is advantageous. Experience in wafer-level reliability is also beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and troubleshoot hardware for evaluating product reliability under biased conditions.
  • Assess and qualify CMOS Imaging Sensor (CIS) products for large-scale production.
  • Partner with foundries to evaluate, characterize, and enhance CIS manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with research and development, design, process, packaging, and product engineering teams to validate new process technologies, ensuring that design performance meets customer reliability standards.
  • Prepare internal summaries for product qualification and evaluation projects.
  • Present findings and product issues in meetings.
  • Generate and distribute product reliability release documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline with coursework in electronics and semiconductor physics.
  • Proficiency in designing hardware for component reliability and establishing reliability frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of CMOS technology.
  • Experience in reliability qualification of integrated circuit components and packages is preferred.
  • Knowledge of wafer-level reliability practices is desirable.
  • Familiarity with foundry front-end and back-end reliability testing and metrics.
  • Previous exposure to component engineering is a plus.
  • Understanding of commercial and automotive reliability standards (JEDEC, AEC) is essential.
  • Knowledge of reliability failure modes, mechanisms, and analysis techniques for integrated circuit components is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

The annual base salary for this position in California, US is projected to range from $131,200 to $170,100. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including relevant skills and experience.
