About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UX Design Specialist to join our team at Mediabistro. As a UX Design Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing customer and user-focused experiences that are fresh and innovative, while problem-solving by anticipating user behavior and hurdles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including game designers, product managers, UI artists, tech UI designers, and engineers to design features and UI screens.
  • Generate wireframes, interactive prototypes, and documentation that clearly convey ideas and solutions.
  • Present and pitch designs to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop features that meet the needs of our users and align with the company's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience working collaboratively to design features and complex UX systems through to completion across multiple platforms.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in Agile environments and on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong skills in Figma, the Adobe Suite, and prototyping software.
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating player-centered design solutions with strong visual direction and interaction design.
  • A passion for making and playing games and a strong sense of player empathy.
  • A proactive individual who naturally leans into owning outcomes, and is able to deal with ambiguity well and quickly adapt to changes of plan.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on or shipping 2+ AAA game titles.
  • Experience working in Unreal Engine.
  • A degree in related fields, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, etc.
