Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health Psychologist to join our team at UW Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary Transplant Healthcare Team, you will play a vital role in conducting pre-transplant evaluations and collaborating with surgeons, medical providers, social work, nutrition, pharmacy, nurse coordinators, and transplant leadership to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-transplant evaluations to assess patients' physical and emotional readiness for transplant surgery.
  • Collaborate with the Transplant Healthcare Team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' unique needs and goals.
  • Provide psychological services to patients and their families, including counseling, education, and support.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum one year of post-doc experience in the area of Behavioral Health in a medical setting.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in the state of practice (Wisconsin and other states as required).
  • CPR/BLS certification.
