Over-the-Road Truck Driver Position

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $75,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience and location. This figure may vary depending on individual circumstances.
Job Description
As a Truck Driver Class A Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Your duties will include:
- Performing all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspecting trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Loading customer returns onto the trailer and securing the trailer doors
- Unloading damaged goods and customer returns and bringing them to the driver check-in and completing necessary paperwork
- Completing daily records of hours of service and entering them in the log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience
- A Valid CDL-A
- To be 21+ years of age
- To meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- A Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
- To pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- To pass a road test
- To have or obtain a valid current DOT Health Card
- To be able to hand-lift and utilize a two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift
