Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team at AMN Healthcare Allied. As a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiography and coronary interventions.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular technology and experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. You will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating equipment, and assisting physicians during procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiography and coronary interventions
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent
  • Operate equipment, including angiography machines and fluoroscopy units
  • Assist physicians during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any complications that may arise
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field
  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • 2+ years of experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
