Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Sitter to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. As a Patient Sitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, providing a direct and continuous line of vision for observation and companionship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform the role of the one-on-one Sitter for observation and patient safety
  • Sit with patients as assigned, maintaining a direct line of vision at all times
  • Monitor patients at all times, including during toileting and bathing, while maintaining privacy and discretion
  • Report any patient concerns directly to the nursing staff on the unit immediately
  • Deliver approved items to patients at the direction of the clinical nursing staff
  • Occupy patients in need of companionship, being careful not to share personal information
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED required
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
