Key Responsibilities- Perform the role of the one-on-one Sitter for observation and patient safety
- Sit with patients as assigned, maintaining a direct line of vision at all times
- Monitor patients at all times, including during toileting and bathing, while maintaining privacy and discretion
- Report any patient concerns directly to the nursing staff on the unit immediately
- Deliver approved items to patients at the direction of the clinical nursing staff
- Occupy patients in need of companionship, being careful not to share personal information
- High school graduate or GED required
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
