Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Sushi Chef will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi and other menu items while delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role requires close collaboration with kitchen staff and adherence to established health and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create exquisite sushi dishes, including rolling, cutting, and packaging for take-out and dine-in customers.
• Maintain strict adherence to operating standards, ensuring food safety and quality.
• Provide exceptional attention to guest satisfaction, building positive relationships with customers at the Sushi Bar.
• Display comprehensive knowledge of all menu items and promotions.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sushi station.
• Execute opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, following correct procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Roller, or multiple years' experience as a chef or restaurant cook.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with a friendly demeanor.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• A team player with excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma preferred.
• Washington State Food Worker Card required prior to first day of work.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

While performing duties, the employee must regularly stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of the body, lift, twist, and crouch occasionally.
