Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Catheterization Technician to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians and other medical professionals in the cardiovascular lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing the procedure room for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain par levels of instruments and supplies.
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
  • Assist in all aspects of invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
  • Cath Lab RN experience.
  • 40 hours per week, 4 days, 10 hours per day.
  • On-call required.
  • RI RN License.
  • ACLS and BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program.
  • Active unencumbered RN Rhode Island state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
Additional Requirements
  • COVID vaccine with 2 shots and booster.
Skills and Abilities
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
