Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives, meeting with managers and HR staff to discuss needs, and creating recruitment plans.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, military installations, and outreach programs to provide organization information, opportunities, and benefits.
  • Build relationships with partners and provide consultation to managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Review applications to determine if applicants meet the qualifications needed for the position.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs, post job announcements, and screen applicants using the applicant tracker, Team Ga Careers.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Research the area to determine the best strategy for recruiting within the community.

Requirements:

An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of related experience in human resources are required. An equivalent combination of education and job-specific experience may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who possess three of the following:

  • Two or more years of experience in recruiting military and/or law enforcement positions.
  • One or more years of experience in recruiting for state, local, or federal government.
  • Two or more years of experience in a human resources field.
  • Three or more years of professional-level recruiting experience.
  • One or more years of experience in using Taleo or a comparable applicant tracking system.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience successfully building relationships to be viewed as a trusted resource for advice and guidance.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing recruiting plans and innovative ways to attract qualified candidates.
