About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Administrator 3 to join our team at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. As an Assistant Program Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct various program services to ensure individuals receive the least restrictive environment while receiving programmatic services outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Plan, direct, and oversee the implementation of programmatic services and active treatment throughout the Developmental Center.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor programmatic systems for input into the ISP and other interdisciplinary team functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all standards and regulations.
  • Prepare reports regarding progress and status of quality services and delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 24 months of experience in development and implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities.
  • 12 months of experience as a lead worker providing work direction and training for other employees.
  • 12 months of training or experience in state and/or federal regulations and standards governing care, custody, and programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers.
  • 6 months of experience in writing or assisting in development of policies, procedures, goals, and objectives of operational units or programs.
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome applicants with:

  • Completion of an undergraduate core program in mental health and developmental disabilities technology, social work, or a comparable field.
  • 6 months of experience as a Mental Health Administrator 2.
