Job Overview
Position Summary


The Charge Cardiovascular Technician in the Electrophysiology Lab, under the supervision of the director or manager, is responsible for overseeing procedures, including diagnostic and interventional studies related to coronary and peripheral catheterization. This role ensures the delivery of safe patient care and assists in surgical procedures as a scrub technician.


Required Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
  • Alternatively, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience and:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of employment) OR
  • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of employment)

Licensure and Certification:

  • Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
  • Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (to be obtained within 12 months of employment if no degree in the applicable fields)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Essential Skills and Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential.
