Soliant is in search of a proficient and committed School-Based Sign Language Facilitator to become a part of our educational team. This full-time role involves working with an elementary school caseload, delivering vital communication assistance to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver interpretation services for students requiring communication support.
- Enhance communication between students, educators, and peers.
- Assist students in accessing the general education curriculum effectively.
- Modify interpreting techniques to cater to the unique needs of each student.
- Maintain precise records and documentation of services provided.
- Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other relevant school activities.
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Caseload: Elementary School (2nd Grade), 1:1
- Compensation: $35-41/hour
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter in the state of Washington.
- Minimum 4.0 EIPA or NIC Certification required.
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience in an educational environment is preferred.
