Job Summary
This Vascular Nurse Practitioner role requires a skilled professional to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities- Obtain medical histories when necessary.
- Perform physical exams within established protocols.
- Diagnose, treat, and monitor chronic diseases within protocol guidelines.
- Order diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe or recommend medications within protocol guidelines.
- Provide preventive health screenings and immunizations for children and adults.
- Promote positive lifestyle habits through education and counseling.
- Assist doctors with office surgeries.
- Maintain patients' privacy and confidentiality.
- Make follow-up calls to check patients' progress.
- Assist doctors with phone coverage and hospital rounds.
- Work closely with other nurses to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Consult with doctors regarding patient symptoms to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in nursing.
- 3-5 years of clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting.
- 1-3 years of previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute or primary care setting, or equivalent RN experience.
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of TN.
- Licensure as an RN in the state of TN.
- American Heart Association BLS (BLS-CPR) certification.
Compensation Information
The hourly pay range for this position is $49.64 - $59.32. You will also receive a range of benefits, including on-site childcare, employee assistance programs, and paid time off.
