Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Bone Marrow Unit team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to children and families affected by cancer and blood disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver family-centered care guided by CHOP's Nursing Professional Practice Model.
- Develop, evaluate, and revise patients' plans of care throughout their hospitalization.
- Gather and analyze data to inform the care team and delegate tasks.
- Promote excellent patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based practices, nursing standards, and safety procedures.
- Identify and address safety concerns or ethical dilemmas with unit leadership.
- Develop effective partnerships with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Adept healthcare technology and clinical practice changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain CEUs for nursing licensure and comply with annual nursing competencies and mandatory education.
Requirements:
- Required: Technical diploma- Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree- Nursing
- Required: At least one (1) year RN experience
- Preferred: Prior experience in pediatrics or area of specialty
About the Unit:
The Bone Marrow Unit is a 26-bed unit specializing in the care of Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant patients. We care for all ages - infancy to early adulthood. Common diagnoses treated on the unit include Leukemia, Lymphoma, Solid Organ Tumors, Neuro Oncology disease processes which may result in Stem Cell Transplant.
