Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic to join our team at Freedom Plasma. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register new plasma donors into our donor management system
  • Conduct thorough screening procedures, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and arm checks
  • Perform finger sticks to test donors for hematocrit and total protein levels
  • Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and review of test results
  • Provide counseling to donors regarding unacceptable test results and initiate investigations as necessary
  • Evaluate and respond to donor adverse events during the donation process
  • Communicate with the Center Medical Director and donor transport to emergency medical care facilities as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one year of work experience preferred
  • Actively licensed or certified as an EMT-I, Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic in the state where performing duties
  • CPR certification required
