The Alexander Campbell King Law Library is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Student Engagement Librarian. This position is integral in fostering a strong connection between the library and its student body.
Key Responsibilities:- Student Engagement: Develop, promote, and assess library services tailored for law students. Act as the primary contact between the Law Library and the student community, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Instructional Services: Plan and deliver comprehensive legal research courses for first-year and advanced students. Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instructional support to enhance students' research skills.
- Library Operations: Collaborate with various teams to enhance library services and resources. Participate in strategic planning initiatives to align library offerings with the goals of the School of Law.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional activities to stay abreast of trends in library and legal education. Contribute to projects that promote the library's mission and services.
The ideal candidate will possess a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school along with an ALA-accredited master's degree in library science or information studies. Prior experience in student engagement activities and a strong ability to communicate effectively are essential.
