We are in search of a Senior Backend Systems Engineer to spearhead the development of our architectural frameworks, infrastructure, and synchronization systems. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission to enhance human intelligence through innovative technology. We are looking for a proactive leader who is passionate about transforming digital information into actionable knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate directly with our CEO and work alongside our Founding Engineer and Lead UX Designer to design and construct backend systems that incorporate cutting-edge artificial intelligence into our offerings.
  • Oversee the architecture and execution of our fundamental infrastructure and synchronization systems.
  • Develop backend solutions for user-centric features that provide integrated, context-aware, and proactive personal knowledge assistance.
  • Address complex backend challenges comprehensively, including local-first synchronization, collaborative rich text editing, data ingestion and processing, real-time recommendations, and LLM-enhanced information indexing, retrieval, and discovery.
  • Enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms to effectively manage operational incidents.
  • Establish exemplary software development practices to create a cohesive product vision.
