Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operator Lead to join our team at Liquid Environmental Solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our wastewater treatment plant, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and add wastewater chemicals as needed, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring of treatment processes.
  • Manage the space for incoming wastewater and treatment of material, optimizing plant operations for maximum efficiency.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the plant and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor and control tank levels, ensuring sufficient space for material processing and minimizing waste.
  • Enforce safety and compliance rules and regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence.
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • May perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including forklift trucks and skid steers, safely and efficiently.
  • May perform minor electrical maintenance functions, ensuring plant operations are not disrupted.
  • Clean and maintain process equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience as a Plant Operator with maintenance of water pumps and plant machinery preferred.
  • Ability to learn procedures related to safe handling of materials, with a commitment to growth and development within the company.
  • Collaborative team player with good eye-hand coordination, organizational ability, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to be cross-trained to perform other jobs as needed, with effective communication skills for safety and efficiency requirements.
Work Environment
  • Lifting, climbing, and bending required; must be able to work on feet most of the work day.
  • Varied weather conditions, including hot, cold, and wet environments.
  • Strong odors and smells present in the work environment.
