Job Title: Part-Time Contract Course Developer

We are seeking a talented and creative Course Designer on a part-time contract basis to design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning experiences for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-quality, interactive online courses and learning materials that align with the organization's objectives and learning goals.

Create engaging multimedia content, including videos, quizzes, simulations, and assessments, to enhance the learning experience.

Conduct needs assessments to identify learning objectives, target audiences, and knowledge gaps, using data-driven insights to inform course design.

Work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure course content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to learners' needs.

Manage the development of courses on a part-time basis, ensuring timely completion within the agreed-upon scope and budget.

Utilize e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS) to develop and deliver courses.

Evaluate the effectiveness of courses through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making data-driven improvements as needed.

Ensure all course content adheres to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Design courses with a strong focus on user experience, ensuring ease of navigation, accessibility, and learner engagement.

Develop and maintain documentation for all course materials, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design and course development, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.

Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and learning management systems (LMS).

Strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and best practices in online education.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously on a part-time schedule, with strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including subject matter experts and other stakeholders.

Strong creative and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to design innovative and engaging learning experiences.

High attention to detail, ensuring all courses are accurate, error-free, and of the highest quality.

Ability to troubleshoot issues related to course design, content, or technology, and implement effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications in instructional design (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance - CPLP) or related areas are a plus.

Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and experience designing courses for diverse learner needs.

Working Conditions:

Part-time contract position

Flexible, approximately 10-20 hours per week, depending on project needs
