Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity working 4/10's, Monday - Friday, day shift, with variable day off. Call rotations are required in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling appropriate instruments and supplies and ensuring good working order of instruments.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and retract tissue.
  • Maintain competency to scrub in a minimum of two surgical specialties.
  • Ensure that all surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
  • Assist with OR turnover between cases and participate in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.
  • Participate in or lead the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED and current basic life support certification.
  • Certified as a surgical technologist or two to three years of experience in a surgical technologist role.
  • Ability to scrub proficiently on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
