Pharmacy Technician Job Description

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fills prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
  • Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
  • May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from the inventory.
  • Prepares medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • May process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
  • Assists in the training of new employees.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Long Term Care pharmacy experience.

This is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs. The required availability for this position is (2) 7:30am-3:30pm - (1) 8:00am-4:30pm - (1) 1:00pm-9:30pm and (2) 3:30pm – Midnight with rotating weekends.
