Job Overview

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Los Angeles, California. As a Surveillance Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and accountability of controlled substance medications.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. You will be responsible for overseeing and auditing controlled substance use, preventing diversion, and investigating discrepancies with nursing and anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight and audits of controlled substance use
  • Prevention of diversion and investigation of discrepancies
  • Maintenance of regulatory compliance with DEA and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Adequate computer skills
  • Ability to rotate shifts, alternate weekends, and rotate throughout any areas requiring Pharmacy Technician
Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching
  • Occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds
  • Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and high levels of accuracy. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
