The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are expanding our Energy division and looking for a Construction Project Leader . This position is responsible for directing and managing the construction phase of assigned projects from the proposal process through to completion, ensuring adherence to safety and building regulations. You will coordinate the efforts of McKinstry's high-performance internal teams alongside external teams such as consultants and subcontractors to fulfill the contractual commitments of the project. You will oversee project financials from subcontractor selection and negotiation throughout the project lifecycle. You will uphold and communicate McKinstry's Safety Standards and processes while ensuring client satisfaction meets the established regional standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with internal and external project teams throughout development and construction.
- Coordinating with subcontractors involved in the project.
- Managing project financials.
- Handling pre-construction responsibilities.
- Reviewing project budgets and scopes.
- Promoting safety standards and training while maintaining client satisfaction.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
- Preferred experience in design-build construction.
- Proficiency in scheduling software, preferably MS Projects.
- OSHA 30 certification; PE, CPM, and LEED professional designations are preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
- Basic estimating skills; CEM and CPM professional designations are preferred.
- Proficiency in construction financial management software.
- A solid understanding of accounting and financial management is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and responsiveness.

The salary range for this position is $76,320 - $109,980 per year; however, the base salary offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary information is based on market location. A bonus may be included as part of the compensation package, in addition to a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
