Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses, and families in the region. We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging team.

Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs quality imaging that assists the Radiologist in diagnoses relevant to Nuclear Medicine. This role involves the preparation, administration, and measurement of radioactive isotopes utilizing a variety of radioisotope equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Calculates, measures, and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of, using computer and following the physician's orders.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients to detect diseases using radioisotope equipment under the direction of the physician.
  • Stores and disposes of radioactive materials and radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures.
  • Processes cardiac functions studies using the workstation and sending the appropriate images to PACS.
  • Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce images for interpretation.
  • Performs accurate data entry into the PACS system as well as any other electronic record.
  • Maintains knowledge of the scheduling process within the HIS system.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine; 2-5 years preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • NMTCB.
