At Unavailable, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Obstetric Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can utilize your advanced nursing skills and knowledge to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in obstetric nursing, with a focus on antepartum, post-partum, neonatal, and gynecologic care. They will be an expert in directing and coaching other staff members, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the smooth operation of the nursing unit
  • Acting as a mentor, preceptor, and resource for Clinical Nurse I and II staff members
  • Providing advanced consultation to other units and hospital staff regarding complex OB-GYN patient care problems
  • Developing and implementing education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Three to five years of current MIU experience
  • BLS and NRP certifications
  • Spanish speaking experience is preferred
  • Certification in fetal monitoring is required within one year of employment
  • Evidence of lactation support education is required within one year of employment
