Responsible for the architecture, development, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting of SharePoint solutions. Acts as a liaison between customer site personnel and leadership. Collects customer requirements and formulates solutions that address those needs. Proactively seeks opportunities for business process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist HQ SpOC staff with EIS hosted SharePoint sites and USSF organizations by designing and developing advanced solutions on the SharePoint platform, utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Engage with clients to analyze and document their business requirements, crafting the most efficient and effective solutions to meet their needs.
  • Gather and translate customer requirements into actionable solutions for HQ SpOC EIS platforms.
  • Enforce SharePoint governance by monitoring sites to ensure compliance with government regulations, including Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Section 508 standards.
  • Support HQ SpOC and staff in developing and maintaining their SIPRNet on-premise and NIPRNet SharePoint data, business processes, and workflows.
  • Provide training on SharePoint and related tools as necessary.
  • Design, develop, and support SharePoint solutions and workflows using SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and custom lists, leveraging JSON.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including initiation, testing, and deployment.
  • Assist SharePoint users in troubleshooting custom sites, workflows, and applications, providing ongoing support for developed solutions.
  • Present various solution options to customers for review, aiming to enhance the functionality of the SharePoint environment and improve user efficiency.
  • Utilize PowerShell to interact with SharePoint as needed for data gathering and reorganizations.
  • Communicate with end-users and team members regarding design details and project progress.
  • Test customizations on existing and new sites, troubleshooting user functionality and specific issues.
  • Document the technical aspects of the current system.
  • Create technical documentation, including diagrams, reference guides, and user manuals.
  • Diagnose and resolve post-deployment issues as required.
  • Enhance existing solutions as necessary for future releases.
  • Provide technical correspondence to the CAB regarding system changes, updates, and upgrades.
  • Review potential impacts of change requests thoroughly before implementation to minimize disruptions.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to develop processes that align with overall business strategies within a military headquarters environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint APIs (C#, REST, etc.), JavaScript, JQuery, and PowerShell for SharePoint.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Capability to deliver high-quality solutions promptly.
  • Experience in planning, developing, prototyping, and deploying web-based site configurations and applications.
  • Familiarity with common concepts and practices within a military headquarters setting.
  • Ability to use experience and judgment to achieve goals.
  • Understanding of USSF organizational structure and required protocols.
  • Effective communication of technical issues and project status to military and civilian personnel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate, for developing advanced custom solutions.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present project status to HQ USSF leadership as necessary.
  • Capability to create automated processes that align with business strategies.
  • Experience in developing solutions/apps using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in software development, web design, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing custom solutions in both SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premise.
  • ITIL Version 3 or 4 – Foundation Certification (desired); CMMI Associate (desired).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance preferred.
