- Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical issues using various tools and techniques to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and ensure equipment is compliant with industry standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent on each task.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and field personnel to address equipment issues and ensure efficient operation of oilfield equipment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring that necessary supplies are stocked and available for repairs.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations as needed.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, with experience in oilfield or heavy equipment repair preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, with a strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Certification: Relevant certifications or licenses in automotive or diesel mechanics are a plus.
- Tools: Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and working in various weather conditions.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
