This internship program is designed to provide advanced training in emergency surgery and critical care. The goal is to equip doctors with the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality emergency services, including emergency surgery. The program is ideal for veterinarians who want to specialize in emergency medicine and surgery.
Key Components- 40% of time spent on emergency/critical care shifts under the supervision of criticalists, ECC residents, and experienced emergency doctors
- 50% of time spent in surgery rotations with board-certified surgeons and surgery residents
- Remaining time spent rotating through various hospital specialties
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Active or ability to obtain FL license in good standing to practice
